KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing committee will be composed of representatives from seven political parties.
After consulting with leaders from various political parties, the Federal Parliament Secretariat has proposed to include four members of the House of Representatives from the Nepali Congress, three from CPN-UML, and one each from CPN (Maoist Center), Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP).
Additionally, the secretariat has proposed to include one from CPN (Unified Socialist), which has only 0.4% representation in the legislature. However, UML has opposed this recommendation, stating that it should also get four members.
The committee, which will have a total of 15 members, will consist of 12 members from the House of Representatives and three from the National Assembly.
