KATHMANDU: Police have arrested seven out of nine detainees who escaped from the custody of the District Police Office, Dhanusha, on Monday morning.
According to DSP Ranjan Awale, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Dhanusha, the detainees fled by breaking open a ventilation window at around 4 am.
One of the detainees, Satyam Jha from Jaleshwar-5 in Mahottari, was apprehended on Monday morning.
Police arrested Amit Kumar Jha, Ranjit Mandal, Roshan Kumar Mandal, Bhaskar Kumar Yadav, Sumit Mestar, and Bikky Karki from various locations in Dhanusha on Monday afternoon.
Two other detainees—Bishal Mukhiya and Manish Mandal—are still on the loose.
