
KATHMANDU: The Bara administration has arrested two examination inspectors for allegedly helping students cheat during the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) using social media platform WhatsApp.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Examination Inspector Ranju Kumari and Running Guard Saurabh Yadav at the Pannadevi Girls Secondary School Examination Center.
According to Basanta Adhikari, the chief district officer of Bara, the local administration had intensified surveillance at the Pannadevi Girls Secondary School Center in Kalaiya after receiving specific information.
Ranju Kumari and Saurabh Yadav were caught for allegedly taking photos of the question papers, sending them via WhatsApp, receiving answers, and then helping students cheat during the exam.
“The two were part of a WhatsApp group named ‘Sathi’ (friends), where they would share photos of the question papers and provide answers to the students,” CDO Adhikari said. “The investigation into the case is underway.”
The local administration has tightened surveillance at other examination centers as well.
