KATHMANDU: Ministry of Home Affairs has directed security officials to not meet political leaders and members of diplomatic community without seeking prior approval.
“As it has been understood that some officials of security agencies, who have the main responsibility of maintaining peace and security, are meeting various political leaders and members of the diplomatic community, the ministry requests the head of the concerned department to make prior approval by specifying the purpose mandatory for such meetings,” the home ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The ministry has also asked the head of the department to also ensure strict implementation and monitoring of the provision.
