KATHMANDU: Acting President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Dol Prasad Aryal has said that the state’s failure to act decisively resulted in significant property damage due to the pro-monarchy protest in Kathmandu on Friday.

A delegation of the RSP on Sunday conducted inspections of various physical structures damaged during recent pro-monarchy protests. Following the assessment, Aryal said security lapses were evident in these incidents. “Violent activities cannot be considered political protests. Those responsible must face legal consequences,” he said.

Aryal also criticized the government for failing to maintain law and order. He said that authorities must take serious measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

An RSP team led by Aryal and Treasurer Lima Adhikari examined damaged structures, including the party office of CPN (Unified Socialist) and buildings near Kathmandu’s Tinkune area.
