KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Poudel has appointed new secretaries at the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
Padma Prasad Pandeya has been appointed as the secretary of the House of Representatives on the recommendation of Speaker Devraj Ghimire, while Dr. Surendra Aryal has been appointed as the secretary of the National Assembly on the recommendation of National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina.
Issuing separate statements on Wednesday, the Office of the President said the appointments were made as per Article 106 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, 2015.
Pandeya was previously serving as the Deputy Attorney General, while Dr. Aryal was performing responsibility as the Secretary of the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives.
