KATHMANDU: Sarlahi District Court has sent Ram Bahadur Bomjon, dubbed the ‘Little Buddha’ by the media, to judicial remand.

A single bench of District Judge Bishnu Prasad Regmi took the decision following a bail hearing on Friday.

Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Bomjon from his residence in Hattigauda on Wednesday. He was handed over to District Police Office, Sarlahi, on Thursday night.

Bomjon has been accused of raping a minor girl in his camp. Sarlahi District Court had issued an arrest warrant for him four years ago. Bomjon had been absconding after the arrest warrant was issued.
