KATHMANDU: Spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been granted a US visa, finally.

Issuing a statement on Friday, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) said Sandeep has received a visa to travel to the US to participate in the ICC World Cricket League 2 tri-series with the US and Scotland. “Sandeep will leave for the US on Friday evening itself,” CAN Spokesperson Chhumbi Lama said in the statement.

The tri-nation ODI series kicks off in Dallas on October 25. Nepal is scheduled to play against the US on October 27 and November 4. Likewise, it will meet Scotland on October 29 and November 2.

Nepal is seventh in the eight-nation WCL-2 table with three points from eight games. The US is second with 12 points from eight games, while Scotland is fifth with nine points from seven games.
