KATHMANDU: Sadak Sathi conducted a hands-on First Aid Training for Road Traffic Injuries at Arunima Educational Foundation, Boudha, on Saturday.
The session, attended by 40 participants, focused on equipping road users with essential skills like CPR, fracture care, and safe transport techniques to respond effectively to emergencies, according to a statement issued by Sadak Sathi.
According to the organization, the training was divided into three interactive stations, allowing participants to practice and gain confidence in providing immediate care before professional help arrives. “The event received overwhelming participation and positive feedback, highlighting the community’s eagerness to contribute to road safety,” it added.
This initiative was supported by Physicians for Social Responsibility, Nepal and Arunima Educational Foundation.
Sadak Sathi also promotes the use of its ICE (In Case of Emergency) Card. According to the organization, ICE Card is a simple yet powerful tool containing vital details like emergency contact numbers, blood group and medical history. “The ICE card ensures first responders and healthcare professionals can quickly access critical information during emergencies. Everyone is encouraged to keep the ICE card easily accessible and save emergency contact numbers on their phones,” the organization said in the statement.
