KATHMANDU: The five-party ruling alliance has unveiled its common minimum program expressing commitment to initiate investigations into corruption cases from any period.
“Matters related to corruption and abuse of authority from any period will be investigated, and appropriate legal action will be taken against the individuals involved. The government will establish the belief in Nepali society that corrupt individuals will one day face the court of law,” states the document released by the CPM of the new ruling alliance on Tuesday.
CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Center), Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), and CPN (Unified Socialist) have expressed commitment to introducing a time-card system to ensure timely service delivery by public offices.
The ruling alliance has expressed commitment to ending economic slowdown, making financial institutions free from malpractices, effectively implementing of federalism, ensuring good governance through smooth service delivery, and creating jobs, entrepreneurship, and increasing domestic production.
Likewise, the five parties have said that they are committed to improving health, education, and social security, enhancing inter-agency coordination for infrastructure development, increasing economic growth rate through electricity generation and sale, improving the lives of people through the use of ICT services, minimizing impacts of climate change in farming and forests, achieving gender equality and social inclusion, completing necessary works of the peace process, and adopting an independent and non-aligned foreign policy.
UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, RSP President Rabi Lamichhane, and JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav have signed the common minimum program of the new government.
