KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has selected former journalist Milan Limbu as its candidate for the by-election in Ilam-2 seat of the House of Representatives.
RSP had shortlisted six aspirants for the candidacy. The party held discussions with the six candidates on Wednesday.
According to an RSP leader, five aspirants withdrew their names to support Limbu’s candidacy in Ilam-2.

The Ilam-2 constituency became vacant with the demise of CPN-UML Vice Chairman Subash Chandra Nembang in September last year.
The Election Commission is holding by-polls in Ilam-2 seat of the House of Representatives and Bajhang-1(1) seat of the Sudurpashchim Province Assembly on April 27.
