KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced new dates for its general convention.
A meeting of the party’s Central Committee held on Thursday decided to hold the general convention in Chitwan on February 19-21, 2026.
Earlier, the party had decided to hold the general convention by April.
Likewise, the meeting decided to hold the convention of ward committees by September, local government committees by October, district committees by November and provincial committees by January.
According to the party, it has already formed 1,975 ward committees and around 700 of them have already conducted their convention.
Likewise, RSP has formed local government committees at 458 out of 753 local units.
Likewise, the meeting also appointed in-charges for all seven provinces.
According to the party, Santosh Pariyar has been appointed in-charge of Koshi Province, Manish Jha of Madhesh, Lima Adhikari of Bagmati and Shishir Khanal of Gandaki. Similarly, Bipin Kumar Acharya, Ganesh Parajuli and Hari Dhakal have been named in-charge of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, respectively.
