KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to exit the government by withdrawing its support given to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
A joint meeting of the party’s central work performance committee and parliamentary party held on Saturday took the decision.
RPP had decided to support Dahal to form a government on December 25. It joined the government on January 17 under the leadership of party president Rajendra Lingden. RPP was given a deputy prime minister and three ministries in Dahal’s government.
RPP’s decision to withdraw support came after the formation of the eight-party coalition on Friday.
