KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is fielding Laxmi Gurung in the by-polls in Ilam-2 seat of the House of Representatives.
A meeting of the party’s parliamentary board held at RPP Head Office picked Gurung as RPP’s candidate for Ilam-2 on Thursday.
According to RPP sources, Gurung has been serving in the party’s Education Department. He is also a former vice chairperson of RPP’s student wing.
The Election Commission is holding a by-election in Ilam-2 on April 27. The seat became vacant with the demise of Subash Chandra Nembang in September last year.
