KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Pashupati Shamsher Rana is currently in India.
According to a source close to Rana, he has traveled to India to garner support from Indian leaders for a pro-monarchy movement scheduled to begin on May 29.
During his visit, Rana is expected to meet with high-level Indian leaders.
“Rana has left for New Delhi to secure the support of the Indian side for the upcoming pro-monarchy movement,” the source told Himal Press.
Pro-monarchy groups have announced an indefinite people’s movement starting from May 29 for the restoration of the monarchy and the cause of the Sanatan Hindu religion.
However, Rana’s secretary Keshav Katuwal said the RPP leader is in India for personal work. “He is scheduled to return on May 28,” he added.
