RPP leader Deepak Bohora passes away

KATHMANDU: Member of the House of Representatives and senior Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Deepak Bohora, has passed away.

According to RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha, Bohora, who was suffering from abdominal issues, died at Om Hospital in Kathmandu.

Bohora had been unable to speak due to post-COVID complications. Four or five months after the infection, changes in his voice were noticed. Later, he went to New Delhi for further treatment, where doctors diagnosed throat-related issues caused by post-COVID effects.

As his condition worsened, he traveled to the US for some time. Bohora was elected to the House of Representatives from Rupandehi-1 constituency. He had defeated Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand in the election.

RPP sources say his body is being transported to Bhirahawa for cremation.
