KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has said that it would take a decision on the upcoming presidential election on Friday.
Party leaders said the work performance meeting of the party to be held on Friday will decide whether the party will participate in the presidential election.
RPP is one of the seven parties that have supported the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government. It has also joined the government under party Chairman Rajendra Lingden.
Mohan Shrestha, the spokesperson for the party, said that the party has scheduled its work performance committee meeting on Friday to discuss the upcoming elections for the position of president and vice president and other relevant issues.
As per the election program published by the Election Commission, nomination for the position of President has to be filed on Saturday.
