RPP decides to vote against PM Dahal in floor test RPP's Parliamentary Party Spokesperson Gyanendra Shahi

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to vote against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in his floor test.

Dahal is seeking a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives on Friday.

A meeting of the RPP’s parliamentary party held in Singha Durbar on Thursday decided to vote against the motion of confidence tabled by Prime Minister Dahal, Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi, the spokesperson for the RPP’s parliamentary party, said after the meeting.

Dahal’s government fell in the minority after the Nepali Congress (NC) and his coalition partner CPN-UML signed an agreement last week to form a new government. RPP was among the first parties to welcome the decision of the two parties.

This is the fifth time that Dahal is undergoing a floor test in the House of Representatives since assuming office on December 26, 2022.
