KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that a new government led by the Nepali Congress (NC) will be formed soon.
Speaking with journalists in Bharatpur of Chitwan, on Sunday, Dahal said recent developments have signaled the formation of a new government. “Recent events indicate that the country is moving toward a new government. Based on current dynamics, NC, as the largest party in parliament, should lead the government,” Dahal, who is also a former Prime Minister and the leader of the main opposition, said.
Dahal, however, maintained that the Maoist Centre was not focused on joining the government. “But this administration cannot continue, given the people’s widespread dissatisfaction and frustration with the government,” he added.
