Himal Press KATHMANDU: Former prime minister and one of the icons of Nepal’s democratic movement, BP Koirala, passed away on this very day 41 years ago.
Koirala, who was born to Krishna Prasad Koirala and Divya Koirala, on September 8, 1914 passed away on 21 July 1982.
Thousands of people had come to the streets to pay final tribute to Koirala despite the one-party Panchayati system of government.
