KATHMANDU: Rajesh Kumar Agrawal has been nominated to the post of Senior Vice President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI).
The CNI’s governing council made the nomination in accordance with the confederation’s statute. Agrawal’s nomination to the post means that he will become the CNI’s President after its upcoming general assembly.
According to the CNI statute, the Vice President is automatically elevated to the post of President after the President completes his/her term. Agrawal has served on the national governing council of the CNI for over 15 years, and he has also taken on responsibilities as the convenor of the CNI’s revenue committee.
Agrawal, who is the Executive Director of RMC Group, is the promoter of several industries that produce cement, steel, and food products, among others.
