KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has advised the government to focus all its attention on the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.
Speaking to Prime Minister Sushila Karki during the presentation of the Annual Report for the Fiscal Year 2024/25 of the Nepal Security Council at the Office of the President on Sunday, President Paudel urged the government to ensure that its activities do not affect the upcoming election.
He also directed security agencies, including the Nepali Army, to pay heightened attention to security arrangements with greater vigilance than in the past.
President Paudel expressed confidence that the National Security Council would discharge its responsibilities more effectively in the days ahead by assessing newly emerging as well as potential future security challenges.
