KATHMANDU: All seven provincial governments are presenting their budget for the fiscal year 2025/26 later on Sunday.
As per the constitution, provincial governments must bring their fiscal budget for the next fiscal year on Asar 1 as per the Nepali calendar.
Ministers for Economic Affairs of all seven provincial governments are presenting the annual estimates of income and expenditure for 2025/26.
The federal government has allocated provincial governments Rs 60.66 billion as fiscal equalization grants, Rs 30.35 billion as conditional grants. Similarly, another Rs 3.28 billion has been earmarked as complementary grants for infrastructure projects.
Federal transfers form the mainstay of revenue for provincial governments.
