President Paudel attends Army Day celebrations in Tundikhel

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel participated in a special ceremony organized by the Nepali Army to mark Army Day 2025 at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel on Wednesday.

The event, which included a grand parade and a military art exhibition, was held on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri and the 262nd anniversary of the establishment of the Nepali Army.

During the ceremony, the Nepali Army presented different activities like march-past and celebratory gunfire with rifles and cannons to mark Maha Shivaratri. Band performances by military bands from India, the UK, and the US were also part of the program. Additionally, the event featured various military skills, cultural dances and musical performances. The army also displayed vehicles, equipment, and weapons used in peacekeeping missions.

On the occasion, President Paudel released the Nepali Army’s publication, ‘Sipahi’ magazine and awarded prizes to outstanding individuals at the exhibition. He also laid a floral wreath at the military memorial located at the venue.

Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, leaders and members of the diplomatic community, were present on the occasion.
