
KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel attended the National Democracy Day celebrations at the Army Pavilion on Tundikhel on Wednesday.
During the event, a platoon of the Nepali Army presented a salute in honor of President Paudel.
A helicopter of the Nepali Army displayed a banner marking National Democracy Day, 2025, and showered flower petals, while doves, symbols of peace, were released on the occasion The Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Scout presented match past and band performances. Various municipalities in the Kathmandu Valley also showcased cultural processions accompanied by traditional music.
Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Chief Justice, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairperson of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers, members of parliament, heads and officials of constitutional bodies, high-ranking government officials, representatives of diplomatic missions, and representatives from various sectors of society also attended the ceremony.
