President appoints new province chiefs in Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has appointed new province chiefs for Bagmati, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

Issuing a statement on Wednesday, Office of the President said Deepak Prasad Devkota of Kaiali has been appointed as Province Chief of Bagmati, Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar of Rolpa as Province Chief of Lumbini and Yagya Raj Joshi of Bajhang as Province Chief of Karnali as per Article 163 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, 2015, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

The cabinet meeting held on Monday had decided to remove province chiefs of the three provinces appointed by the previous government and recommended the three for appointment.
