POKHARA: The District Administration Office, Kaski, has decided to open the Seti River dam at Deep in Pokhara-16 to facilitate the police search for a youth who went missing two days ago.

Sangam Mishra (19) of Lamachaur, who was undergoing treatment at the emergency ward of Manipal Teaching Hospital, disappeared two days ago. He went missing while his father, who was attending to him, went out of the emergency ward to purchase medicine prescribed by the doctors.

The District Police Office, Kaski, decided to search the dam after discovering Mishra’s identification card and clothes on a bridge above the Seti River.

The dam will be opened from 12-4 pm on Thursday.

“As the water level in the Seti River will increase on the day, we advise people living downstream to exercise caution,” Shrawan Kumar BK, the spokesperson for the District Police Office.
