KATHMANDU: The District Police Range, Kathmandu, submitted its investigation report on the March 28 Tinkune incident to the District Government Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu, recommending legal action against 108 involved.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Apil Raj Bohora, the spokesperson for the District Police Range, Kathmandu, said that the police have recommended prosecution of all 108 individuals.
Likewise, five separate charges have been proposed against protest leader Durga Prasai, say police.
The District Government Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu, has said that it would review the police report and file a charge sheet by Sunday.
According to police, 61 individuals were under investigation for criminal mischief and organized crime, and 29 for offenses against the state. Of these, 34 accused of criminal mischief and organized crime, and three accused of offenses against the state, have already been released on bail.
While protest Prasai remains in custody, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Vice Chairperson Rabindra Mishra and General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana—have been released on bail.
