KATHMANDU: Police have arrived at the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) office to arrest RSP President Rabi Lamichhane.

According to an RSP leader, police are holding discussions with Lamichhane and completing the necessary procedures for his arrest.

The leader said Lamichhane could be taken to Pokhara on Friday itself.

Earlier, the Kaski District Court issued an arrest warrant for Lamichhane in connection with an investigation into his alleged involvement in the misappropriation of cooperative deposits.

Subsequently, the District Police Office, Kaski, made a written request to the District Police Range, Kathmandu; the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police; and the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office to arrest Lamichhane and send him to Pokhara.
