KATHMANDU: Police have busted a racket producing counterfeit liquors of different brands.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, police teams deployed by the office arrested Manoj Khatri, Binod Kumar Karki, Mohan Khadka, Gaurav Tamang, Roshan Karki, Mahesh Khatri, Manish Khatri and Suman Nagarkoti, Lekh Bikram Thapa from Thali in Kagheshwar Manahara Municipality-5.
They had rented a house in Thali to fill liquor of inferior brands into bottles of expensive brands.
Police also seized dozens of cartons of counterfeit liquor from the house.
