Pokhara to host conference of chief ministers

GANDAKI: The Gandaki Province Government has begun preparations to host a conference of chief ministers from all seven provinces.

A source within the provincial government informed Himal Press that the conference will be held in Pokhara from June 30 to July 1.

The provincial government had initially planned to organize the conference last month. However, it was postponed at the last minute after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal expressed his inability to attend the event.

Saraswati Aryal Tiwari, the spokesperson of the provincial government, stated that preparations were underway for the conference. “We were ready to hold the conference last month, but it had to be postponed at the last moment,” Tiwari said. “During the conference, the chief ministers will share the achievements and discuss the rights of their respective provinces.”

The conference will be held at Hotel Pokhara Grande in Birauta.
