Pokhara shop owner arrested for luring young girls into prostitution

POKHARA: Police have arrested the owner of an eatery in Pokhara on charges of luring young girls into prostitution.

According to District Police Office, Kaski, Sindhu Kisan (23), the owner of Sindhu Khaja Ghar at Nalamukh in Pokhara-3, has been arrested after a complaint was filed against him.

SP Shyam Babu Oliya said the Kaski District Court has granted a five-day remand for Kisan. “We have launched an investigation against Kisan under human trafficking and transportation charges,” he added.

Similarly, police have also arrested 19 other shop owners from Baglung Bus Park area in Pokhara-2 for turning their shops into hangouts for drug users, engaging in sexual activities and disturbing public order in the surrounding area.
