KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has instructed officials to effectively monitor and control the use of fake invoices and excise duty stickers to curb revenue leakage and strengthen the economy.
In a meeting with high-ranking officials of the Office of the Prime Minister, Minsiter for Finance and Minister of Home Affairs on Sunday, Dahal urged officials to break the racket of illegal trade. “There have been reports of the use of fake invoices and excise duty stickers. Monitor such activities effectively and take needful action against individuals involved,” Dahal said in the meeting.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, Minister for Finance Barsha Man Pun, Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha, Chief Secretary Dr Baikuntha Aryal, Finance Secretary Dr Krishna Hari Pushkar, Revenue Secretary Dr Ram Prasad Ghimire, Home Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, Secretaries at the Office of the Prime Minister, Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Kunwar and Inspector General of Armed Police Force Raju Aryal were present in the meeting.
Likewise, directors and generals of offices under the finance ministry also attended the meeting.
