KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed all ministers and secretaries to prepare and implement blueprints in a way that people can directly experience tangible results.
During a meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday to the progress of each ministry, Prime Minister Karki instructed ministers and secretaries to ensure that every ministry formulates and enforces an action plan reflecting the spirit and sentiments of the Gen Z movement — particularly focusing on controlling corruption, promoting good governance, and improving the effectiveness of public service delivery so that citizens can clearly feel the change.
She also instructed ministries to strictly follow the Ministry of Finance’s circular on maintaining austerity in public expenditure and ensuring effective and result-oriented use of public funds. Likewise, she directed concerned agencies to engage in dialogue, facilitation, and cooperation with the private sector to boost confidence and improve the industrial environment.
The Prime Minister suggested that the system of employee transfer and promotion be made predictable, transparent, and fair.
Similarly, she directed ministries to carry out their respective responsibilities to prepare for the upcoming elections. She also stressed the need to immediately begin restructuring by dissolving, merging, or transferring unnecessary entities to make the bureaucracy more efficient and productive.
