KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 5 per liter. With the fresh revision, petrol will now cost Rs 165 per liter in Kathmandu Valley and other major cities.
A board meeting of the NOC held on Thursday also decided to reduce the price of diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter to Rs 155 per liter in Kathmandu.
The new prices will come into effect from Thursday midnight.
“The prices were lowered on the basis of new price rates forwarded by Indian Oil Corporation,” NOC said in a statement.
NOC has kept the prices of aviation turbine fuel and liquefied petroleum gas unchanged.
IOC is the sole supplier of petroleum products for the NOC.
