KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that those responsible for the violent activities in Tinkune of Kathmandu on March 28 should not be spared.
Speaking during a meeting with the family of journalist Suresh Rajak, who was killed in the Tinkune incident, on Sunday, Deuba said the perpetrators need to be brought to book.
During the interaction, Rajak’s family expressed concerns that the lack of a proper investigation into the incident could allow the guilty parties to escape accountability. In response, Deuba assured them that the NC has decided to push for a thorough investigation into the Tinkune violence.
Deuba also condemned the destruction caused during protests led by royalist groups, which damaged party offices, government structures and numerous private properties. He urged the government to take action against those involved in the incident.
