ITAHARI: A Nepal Army helicopter rescued people trapped in a fire at Center Plaza in Itahari.
The fire broke out at the commercial building, located east of Itahari Chowk, at around 9:35 am on Wednesday.
According to police reports, some individuals were airlifted by helicopter, while others were rescued using ropes by personnel of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force. So far, 16 people, including five women, have been rescued.
Initial investigations suggest that the fire originated from Hotel Verandah, located within the plaza.
