Parliamentary hearing for Supreme Court Justice nominees on Friday

KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing for the six justices recommended for the Supreme Court has been scheduled for December 15.

The Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Sunday held discussions with 10 individuals who had filed complaints against the proposed Justices. The committee has requested the complainants to provide the reasons and bases for filing their complaints.

Five complaints have been filed against Saranga Subedi, three against Tek Prasad Dhungana and one against Abdul Aziz Musalman. No complaints were filed against the three other proposed Justices – Sunil Pokharel, Mahesh Sharma Poudyal, and Bal Krishna Dhakal.

The meeting on Sunday was chaired by Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, the senior-most member of the committee.
