KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing on the appointment of six proposed justices for the Supreme Court has concluded.
The Judicial Council recommended Sunil Kumar Pokharel, Bal Krishna Dhakal, Mahesh Sharma Paudel, Tek Prasad Dhungana, Saranga Subedi, and Abdul Aziz Musalman to fill the six vacant posts of justices at the Supreme Court during a meeting on November 21.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee started conducting hearings on the proposed justices on December 15. The committee has scheduled its next meeting for Wednesday where it is expected to endorse the recommendation of the Judicial Council
Once the recommendations receive approval from the hearing committee, President Ram Chandra Poudel will appoint the six justices to the Supreme Court.
