Parliamentary Hearing Committee to convene on Tuesday

The meeting will study complaints against 17 ambassadorial nominees

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee is convening on Tuesday to review complaints filed against ambassadors nominated for 17 countries.

According to a member of the committee, a total of nine complaints have been registered against the nominees. The committee plans to open these complaints on Tuesday.

A cabinet meeting held on July 31 nominated ambassadors for 18 countries. However, the nomination of Kanta Rijal, who was recommended for Australia, was later withdrawn.

A meeting of the committee on August 13 published a public notice calling for the submission of complaints, if any, against the 17 nominated for ambassadorial positions.

  2. Chandra Ghimire – U.K.
  3. Krishna Prasad Oli – China
  4. Dr. Netra Prasad Timsina – Malaysia
  5. Naresh Bikram Dhakal – Saudi Arabia
  6. Dhan Prasad Pandit – Israel
  7. Kapil Shrestha – South Africa
  8. Dr. Shail Rupakheti – Germany
  9. Sanil Nepal – Spain
  10. Rama Krishna Bhattarai – Sri Lanka
  11. Prakash Mani Paudel – Portugal
  12. Rita Dhital – Pakistan
  13. Sumnima Tuladhar – Denmark
  14. Jangab Chauhan – Russia
  15. Dr. Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe – South Korea
  16. Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma
  17. Sumnima Tuladhar – Denmark
