The meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday approved the fiscal budget for the coming year by a majority.

The ruling coalition partners, including the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajbadi Party, CPN (United Socialist), and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, all voted in favor of the budget.

On the other hand, the CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party voted against the budget.

Initially, Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced that the budget had been passed through a voice vote. However, the UML objected to this decision and demanded a vote instead.
