KATHMANDU: Paran, a film directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya, has earned more than Rs 160 million in the domestic market in its first month of release.
According to the box office data published by the Nepal Film Development Board on Monday, the film collected Rs 161.77 million as of Saturday.
Released on October 31, the film is also running in theaters with strong occupancy. It has become the highest grosser in the domestic box office so far in 2082 BS.
The family drama tells the story of parents who wish to take their last breath in the arms of their children.
Veteran actor Neer Bikram Shah plays the lead character in the movie, which features an ensemble cast including Buddhi Tamang, Mahesh Tripathi, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Anjana Baraili, Praveen Khatiwada, and child actor Aryadeep Acharya.
