KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Hari Narayan Rauniyar the promoter of Pappu Construction on a fraud charge.
Metropolitan Police Circle, Baneshwar, arrested Rauniyar from Baneshwar at the request of the District Police Office, Banke.
“A complaint was filed against him on fraud charge at District Police Office, Banke. An arrest warrant was issued for him, Santosh Singh Rathaur, chief of the District Police Office, Banke, told Himal Press. “When we came to know that he was staying in Kathmandu, we requested Kathmandu police for his arrest.”
Rauniyar was elected to the House of Representatives from the Parsa-3 constitution in the 2017 general election.
Metropolitan Police Circle, Baneshwar, is preparing to send him to Banke for further investigation.
