KATHMANDU: Pakistani Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has expressed profound grief over the loss of lives in the Jajarkot earthquake.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the earthquake in Nepal that has resulted in loss of precious lives and property. Pakistan stands with Nepal during this difficult time and is ready to extend whatever assistance is required,” Pakistani PM Kakar wrote on social media, X, mentioning Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
The magnitude 6.4 earthquake, which struck at 11:47 pm on Friday, has claimed 157 lives in Jajarkot and Rukum West districts in mid-western Nepal. Similarly, 910 houses have been completely destroyed, while 2,861 buildings have sustained partial damages.
