KATHMANDU: Padam Prasad Pandey has been recommended for the position of General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina recommended Pandey for the post.
Pandey currently serves as the Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
The post became vacant after General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Bharat Raj Gautam, tendered his resignation on Sunday.
As per the existing legal provisions, the President will appoint the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat based on the recommendations of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Chairman of the National Assembly.
