
KATHMANDU: Nepal Film Development Board (NFDB) has signed an agreement with Dhulikhel Municipality to build an outdoor film studio at Katuwapakha.
Mayor Ashok Byanju and NFDB Chairperson Dinesh DC signed a preliminary land transfer agreement in Dhulikhel on Monday.
NFDB will build an outdoor film studio on nearly 1,300 ropani of land in Katuwapakha of Dhulikhel-8.
Speaking on the occasion, Member of the House of Representatives, Gokul Prasad Baskota, said the construction of a film studio would help further promote Dhulikhel as a touristic city. ”
Likewise, Mayor Byanju said that the municipality would provide all possible support for the development and promotion of the film sector. He added that the construction of a film studio would help develop Nepal as an international film destination. Similarly, NFDB Chairperson DC said the outdoor film studio would be a new achievement for the Nepali film industry.
DC also said that the plan to construct a modern film studio in Bahundanda of Banepa Municipality 10 and 13 is ongoing. “It is targeted to be completed by 2026,” he added.
