KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Secretary and Member of House of Representtaives, Yogesh Bhattarai, has claimed that the ordinances introduced by the government will be passed by parliament.
Speaking at an interaction in Surkhet on Thursday, he claimed that the ruling coalition holds a majority in the federal parliament to approve the ordinances. “All ordinances, including the one related to land, would be passed. The National Assembly is a platform for more experienced representatives than the House of Representatives. The ordinances will be passed from there as well,” Bhattarai said. “We have the means to do so, though I do not wish to disclose the details at this moment,” he added.
Bhattarai also clarified that the bill on social media was introduced by the previous government and is intended for regulation rather than control.
