KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the role of the opposition has not been constructive.
Inaugurating the national convention of the Nepal Progressive Engineers Association in Lalitpur on Tuesday, Oli stated that the opposition’s role should have been realistic and constructive, but that has not been the case. He accused the opposition of being focused on defaming the government and spreading falsehoods.
Oli also claimed that domestic and foreign elements were working to tarnish the government’s image and hinder the national aspiration of a “prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali’.
Reflecting on the post-1990 changes, Oli said that Nepal has been on a rapid development path. He also hailed the role of engineers in the nation’s development.
