One more Nepali youth dies in Russia

KATHMANDU: Another Nepali youth has died while serving in the Russian army.

The deceased has been identified as Sajan Gurung from Ghamar Chowk in Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality-1 of Lamjung district.

Ward Chairman Durga Man Gurung said Sajan had left for Russia for foreign employment just three and a half months ago. “The tragic news was received five days ago,” Gurung stated. “The family received information from Sajan’s brother, who is in Germany.”

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not provided any information about Sajan Gurung.

Sajan previously served as the Chairman of Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality of the Young Communist League, the student wing of CPN (Maoist Center).
