SURKHET: One person died and six others were injured when a passenger bus traveling to Birendranagar, Surkhet from Jumla met with an accident in Surkhet district on Thursday.
According to the District Police Office, Surkhet, the bus crashed after the driver lost control near Hudke in Barahatal Rural Municipality of Surkhet.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak Shahi (35) of Thantikandh Rural Municipality-4, Dailekh, who was currently residing in Birendranagar Municipality-1, Surkhet.
Shahi was rushed to Karnali Care Hospital, Surkhet, for treatment but was declared dead on arrival, according to DSP Birendra Bir Bishwakarma of Nepal Police.
